Katie Noah Calligraphy

I’m an Ottawa-based calligrapher, deeply passionate about the art of beautiful writing and ornamentation. I do custom calligraphy and watercolor house portraits.

My journey with calligraphy began in 2019, sparked by a local class at a bookstore. It was a creative outlet that quickly captured my heart, but it became even more meaningful during the COVID pandemic, when I dedicated countless hours to practice and refine my skills. Immersing myself in calligraphy during such a challenging time allowed me to grow as an artist and explore the possibilities of this beautiful art form.

One of my most treasured projects from this period was a watercolor house portrait I created for my grandparents. When they decided to move out of their cherished home of 20 years, I wanted to give them a keepsake that captured the warmth and memories they had built there. Drawing and painting their home was a powerful experience, and seeing their joy inspired me to create similar pieces for others. Since then, I have offered custom house portraits, each one designed to capture the unique character and nostalgia of a home, turning personal memories into lasting works of art.
